THE VERDICT

The Uvex p2us WL was the only helmet tested that every tester rated highly, from the overall fit and comfort to the ease-of-use for tightening and buckling. The helmet fit true to size, worked with a variety of goggles, and is also extremely lightweight. The interior, chinstrap, and ear pads were extremely soft, but did hinder hearing.

FULL REVIEW

The Uvex p2us WL is a women’s specific ski and snowboard helmet that uses a dual-shell construction to create a hybrid technology for protection.

Comfort
The Uvex p2us WL was comfortable for all testers in various sizes and created no hotspots or pressure points.

Weight
Although not the lightest of the helmets, it did not feel too heavy or clunky compared to others of similar weight and did not hinder movement. The helmet felt secure when tightened with the chinstrap and BOA fit system.

Breathability
The helmet has six easily adjustable vents, which felt flimsy when touched but kept the wind and snow out. The lining is easy to remove, as are the ear pads, and all are moisture-wicking, soft, and anti-allergenic.

Ease of Use
Both the chin strap and BOA Fit System were easy to use with and without gloves, as were the adjustable vents. The buckle system is a button-press adjustment, which took some getting used to, but could be opened with one hand. A variety of goggles fit well with no gaper gap. The helmet did not scuff easily.

Features
The p2us WL comes with a goggle holder, but is not audio compatible. The Uvex p2us WL uses a durable hardshell construction for the outer shell, and an inmould process for the internal part.
