prAna Costas Bra Review
June 11, 2018

The Good
- Simple yet stylish design
- Good balance of comfort and compression
- Mesh back that is cool and breaths well
The Bad
- Limited color options
- Poor breathability in front
Comfort
The prAna Costas Bra is one of our testers favorites in most categories and is a standout in comfort. The simple scoop neck design combined with a mesh back detail is comfortable.
Fit / Mobility
Racer back straps on the prAna Costas Bra provides great flexibility and movement. The bra moved with testers during high impact sports and stayed in place. “The fit on this bra is perfect for me,” says one tester. “It quickly became my go to running bra that carried over to just wearing around town.”
Support
However the bra design looks simple, an interior shelf bra makes this one of the best combinations of comfort and support of the running bras in this test group. A key element for our A/B testers was compression without being too restricting of movement and this bra excels where balance is concerned.
Breathability
The prAna Costas Bra has an interesting construction of a lightweight recycled poly blend with a back that has minimal material and mesh paneling. The breathability of the front and back design is quite different. The open back style breaths well in an area that is important in warm weather and high intensity exercise. However, the front material is not as quite as cool and moisture wicking as others in the test, bit it gets the job done.
Style / Design
Testers loved the scoop neck combined with a simple racer back. The mesh paneling in the back gives this bra a different look than a standard sports bra without being over the top while still being functional. The bra comes in two basic color combos though some testers wished for brighter options. Still, “a classic black sports bra is ideal especially when it performs well and looks this good,” one tester said.
