Durability
The ChoeTech 3-in-1 is a rock solid device, and was easily in the top three for durability among all portable chargers tested, regardless of size or weight.  The housing and flashlight lens appear to be made from an extremely thick, high-density polycarbonate.  Neither case nor lens weathered any damage, even in our high-stress impact and compression tests.

Battery Life
The Choetech’s battery life was low compared to competitors, delivering only 180 minutes of power in our intensive ‘real world’ tests.  Discharge rates are also 20% slower than industry averages.

Power/Size
While the Choetech delivers in durability and utility, it sacrifices in power per cubic inch and ounce.  The Choetech tied several other competitors for the lowest overall ratings for battery life for its size and weight.

The ChoeTech is also completely waterproof, and carries the highest water resistance score of any device tested.  This high rating comes from the ChoeTech’s ingenious design:  the charger is located inside the flashlight, and is only accessible when the top — which has an extremely tight fit — is completely unscrewed. This makes accessing the charging feature more awkward than any of the other devices tested.

Features
It’s a powerful LED flashlight, emergency glass breaking hammer, seat belt cutter and portable charger with 1 amp USB port all in one.  Outstanding durability, and completely waterproof.  In terms of features, the only improvement that could be made would be to include a 2.1 amp USB port.

Value
In terms of battery life and power/performance for each dollar spent, the ChoeTech is only average.  But when accounting for the ChoeTech’s durability, water protection, and overall utility, it is a fantastic buy.
