Utilizing Arbor’s signature camber system, the Swoon Camber is a powerful and aggressive snowboard ready to charge. The tapered camber design is easier to handle than a more aggressive full-cambered board and it transitions well edge-to-edge. It performs best on steep wide-open terrain and holds speed, but it’s not as solid in variable conditions as other boards in the test.  

Handling
The parabolic camber profile of the board reduces the amount of camber in the tip and tail, while utilizing full camber underfoot. The poplar wood core and power ply wood top sheet make this board responsive with good dampening.  The stability of the board was great in most conditions, but felt like a tank in lower angle terrain and sometimes felt loose in the tail. 

Pop + Energy
This board is very stable and will most likely hold up to landing drops, but it does not have a lot of pop. It’s more big mountain than terrain park friendly.  

Float
An extra centimeter in the nose adds lift in fresh snow when you need it. Arbor’s signature thunderhead tip shape directs snow around the nose reducing friction. Although the board was fun in soft snow, it did not have the best float in the test group.

Versatility
It’s a stable ride that gives you confidence riding fast on groomers. It handles variable terrain okay. The Swoon Camber is more aggressive than playful, and will suit a rider who wants to ride top to bottom all day long. The mountain twin shape allows for switch riding.

Edge Hold
Arbor’s grip tech adds four contact points that offer additional stability in edge control and makes turning easier, though it’s not quite as good as Mervin’s Magne-Traction. “This board is great edge-to-edge and easy to turn,” one tester said.

The Swoon Camber features their signature power ply construction with a sustainably sourced wood, which makes it strong and durable. The Arbor Collective’s Returning Roots program donates to programs that protect and restore forests balancing the company’s use of sustainable materials. The boards are made overseas.
