Sound Quality
The Scosche boomBOTTLE+ delivers the most dynamic and full bass sounds of any speaker we tested. Though the boomBOTTLE+ has an approximate frequency range from 150hz to 20khz, overall audio quality is not as clear or full sounding as some competitors. This is a fantastic speaker however for bass-heavy genres like rap, rock, and some types of EDM. Under the hood, the boomBOTTLE+ has 2.1 internal channels and 2 full-range drivers. 

Volume
The boomBOTTLE+ was by far the loudest speaker for its size, registering a maximum of 93db at close range in our sound tests. Impressively, the boomBOTTLE+ packs 24 watts of total power (dual 50mm 12-watt speakers) in its small frame, and an internal subwoofer.

Durability
Scosche’s boomBOTTLE+ is constructed from thick, rubberized high-density plastics and a metal speaker grills, and is IP67 certified for water resistance. Power and audio port covers are also well constructed and seal quite well. In our impact and stress tests, the boomBOTTLE+ passed with flying colors, without any incident or issue.

Features
The boomBOTTLE+ comes with great features, including a built-in 3.5mm (AUX) jack, a 1/4” universal screw (tripod) mount, standard and micro USB ports to charge external devices, andBluetooth 4.0 with AVRCP to control music from connected devices. Wireless range is also very good — not only exceeding the Bluetooth 4.0 specification distance of 30 feet in every scenario tested, but also measuring 3 feet more than any other device we tested. The boomBOTTLE+’s best feature, however, is its size, which allows it to fit perfectly in most water bottle holders on bikes or in cars.

Power
Scosche’s boomBOTTLE+ delivers nearly 15 hours of continuous music, and sports a 6,000mAh battery. This is considerably higher than many competitors, and means that the boomBOTTLE+ can better handle charging smartphones or other devices during playback than other devices.
