Blizzard Bodacious Ski Test Results 2016 Review
September 16, 2015The Good
- Surprisingly easy to ski
- Mobile to stable
- Prefers fast and straight but can still be versatile
- Easy to access power
- Some of the best hard snow performance in this category
The Bad
- Not as lively
- More work for short, quick turns
- Mixed reviews on the updated tip construction
The combination of Blizzard’s proprietary Carbon Flipcore, tip and tail rocker and no camber make the Bodacious a very powerful board that is remarkably easy to ski. That lack of camber means you can foot steer into a high speed, hard holding turn that would normally require you to dramatically load and pressure the shovel in any other ski. It also means you can quickly and easily start blasting through powder, crud, chop, and even arcing on the groomers from the moment you get off the lift until you get to the bottom of the trail.
The Bodacious does NOT like quick turns or schmearing and doesn’t deliver float or playfulness like other skis in this category. It DOES deliver big mountain performance and precision like no other “powder ski” we’ve ever skied before.
