A Glove That Fits Any Budget

A Glove That Fits Any Budget

It’s not hard to find a good pair of gloves that will cost you more than a weekend lift ticket. What’s hard is finding one that will last a many hard charging seasons and wont suck your wallet dry. That’s why Columbia’s Zircon Ridge Glove caught our eye. The company partnered with UK-based Pittards leather-makers to create a custom “digital sheepskin” overlay that’s buttery smooth to the touch and durable. Proprietary breathable OutDry tech waterproofing keeps the moisture out, and Columbia’s trademark silver dot matrix inside the glove reflect a bit of your body heat back to your hands. The three-point pre-curve structure delivers out-of-the-bag fit and dexterity, while the little things (a nose wipe on the thumb, one-hand shock cord hem adjustment, cavernous gauntlet cuffs, and a removable safety leash) round out details that make this glove worth more than the $120 asking price. —Nathan Borchelt
