In urban environments, Bern bike helmets have almost become as ubiquitous as skinny jeans, ironic mustaches, and fixed-gear bikes—at least among those smart enough to wear helmets. This spring, the brand will unveil the Morrison ($99), a lid designed specifically for mountain bikers.
Bern reconfigured the helmet’s internal structure, using six nylon ribs molded into the poly foam under a PVC micro-shell, and claim that this new structure is the strongest in all their helmets. You still get the famed Bern low-profile design and contoured fit, along with a removable hard visor. Better still, the Morrison has new adjustable liner and 16 vents, a nice addition considering the standard Bern bike helmets can turn into a sauna during the hotter months of the year.—Nathan Borchelt
