A few seasons ago I was invited to test some of the first Vapur bottles — semi-rigid, lightweight, foldable, flexible and reusable water bottles — and they quickly became my go-to hydration method for any activity where space and weight were a concern. They were also perfect for festivals and concerts because you could roll them up into a jeans pocket after sucking them dry. I’ve still got some of the first products and they’ve never broken down or leaked.
Vapur then introduced a Microfilter that fit into any of its liter sized flexible bottles, and that made my life even better, and the brand’s Explorer Series Microfilter became my primary or back-up water purification system on all my backcountry trips, depending on length.
The durable Anti-Bottles are manufactured in the USA, are BPA-free, freezable and dishwasher-safe. They call their bottles the “anti-bottle” because the products enable easier and more portable hydration while eschewing single-use plastic bottles. And Vapur has now been adopted by athletes, celebrities, activists backpackers and families everywhere I go. Privately held, with products available worldwide, Vapur contributes a portion of all sales to water-related and environmental causes.
Now the brand has entered the “hands-free” hydration category, invented by CamelBak in 1989, with a simple drinking tube that will attach to any of your existing Vapur bottles and slips into the hydration sleeve of any pack.

The DrinkLink simply turns a Vapur bottle into a bladder. Just click the DrinkLink system into any SuperCap Vapur bottle and go from hand-held bottle to hands-free hydration. The DrinkLink system features a user-friendly bite valve for easy drinking, and is equipped with a clip allowing you to keep it close at hand while riding or skinning. As an added bonus option, the quick-flow bite valve also attaches directly to the bottle.
In conjunction with the new DrinkLink, Vapur is releasing their biggest bottle yet in the 1.5 liter size. Equipped with Vapur’s easy-to-use, leak-free SuperCap and integrated carabiner — which I use all the time and have never broken one — this bottle can be carried around town and on the trail with the same ease as the rest of the Vapur family.
MSRP for the new 1.5L is $15.99 and $16.99 for the DrinkLink; or $29.99 for the two.
