  • Questionable durability
THE VERDICT

Similar to the Hoka One, the Skechers GOrun Forza is a maximum cushioning shoe for runners who need stability with over-pronation control. The GOrun Forza led the class in comfort and fit which made it a perfect shoe to go from a long run to a long day kicking around town. A firmer Next Generation Resalyte midsole provided a smooth and springy responsive ride, however it may feel awkward for runners without the need for motion control. Overall, it was a favorite amongst our testers. It’s a great shoe from a lesser known running shoe manufacturer.

FULL REVIEW

The Skechers GOrun Forza is a maximum cushioning everyday trainer built for the runner who needs stability. The GOrun Forza is designed with a two-part Resalyte stabilized midsole and firm medial counter for added stability to help with motional control. A seamless lightweight mesh upper designed with a reflective detail offers added safety for night runs.

Comfort
Taking off the Skechers GOrun Forza will be the worst part of your run. These shoes are very comfortable which earns them a near perfect score for comfort. An extremely soft fitting seamless mesh upper is so silky smooth, running sockless won’t be a problem. The heel collar and tongue are both generously padded assuring no hotspots or rubbing.

Fit
Like a glove! The Skechers GOrun Forza was one of the better fitting shoes tested. All of our testers agreed the GOrun Forza was true to size and fit perfectly right out of-the-box. Skechers did an excellent job assuring the heel counter and inner support system provided a stable and secure fit.

Responsiveness
All of our testers were surprised with how responsive the GOrun Forza felt, which usually would be atypical for shoes with such a high level of cushioning. Transitioning speeds felt easy and smooth. Skechers Next Generation Resalyte cushioning provided firm yet lightweight response.

Speed
Don’t judge the Skechers GOrun Forza ability to get-up and go based on their bulky look. These shoes are surprisingly quick for the amount of cushioning underfoot. They’re not as fast as the similar Hoka One Vanquish 2, but quicker than most tested.

Ride Quality
It is one of those shoes that energizes your stride and makes you want to run, noted one tester. The Skechers GOrun Forza provides a smooth and cushioning run. A pronounced lateral support may feel odd, if motion control isn’t needed.
