Garmin Updates eTrex GPS Devices with Touch Screens


We saw a lot of great gear at the 2015 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market. Now that the show has come and gone, we’ll be sharing some of our favorites with you over the next few days. Here’s a look at what you can expect in the weeks ahead.

This year Garmin is updating its popular eTrex handheld series with the feature fans have been waiting for – the all-important touchscreen! The new eTrex Touch 25, 35, and 35t all feature new touchscreen capabilities, finally doing away with the toggle stick and embracing simpler and more intuitive controls. Not only are the new eTrex models easier to use, Garmin has also integrated unique activity profiles that adjust the features and settings of each unit based on what you’re using it for.

All of the models come pre-loaded with a worldwide shaded relief basemap and include GLONASS support too. The 35 and 35t also include a barometric altimeter that provides altitude and elevation readings, as well as information on possible changes to the weather.
