Another Made-in-Tennessee story, you might ask? Why yes indeed. And this time two classic American brands have come together to make just 300 pairs of jeans in what the designers are calling the most detailed and thoughtfully made materials collaboration they’ve ever worked on. It’s also the first wool-denim blend we’ve ever tested.
Sewn and developed in small-batch jeans producer Noble Denim’s Tennessee shop, the lightweight, brushed back twill, Wool Denim men’s pant is made from 60-percent wool and 40-percent cotton, a blend that is 8.7 oz. lighter than traditional denim pants. Sure, they cost $300 bones, but they offer a comfort, warmth, durability, and rugged simplicity that you don’t see all that often. Even the leather patch is hand stamped by an Amish saddle maker. You listening Millennials?
The fit is a mid-rise, regular classic tapered from the knee down. Ibex prides itself in not only being a wool apparel company, but a natural fiber company, making this collab a natural extension of their Vermont-based ethos. Throw a pair of striped Woollies baselayers on underneath these jeans, and go out and chop down your own Christmas tree, decorate it with handmade ornaments, and post it on Instagram.
