Good vision and solid head protection are two main ways to stay safe on the slopes, and Julbo’s new Cyrius Ski Goggle pairs perfectly with the Julbo Hal Helmet for a clear and protected ride.
Skiers and snowboards will appreciate the super-wide and unobstructed field of vision offered by these the Cyrius goggles. Thanks to Reactiv technology, the photochromatic lens on these goggles automatically gets lights or darker to match changing light conditions. Additionally, a proprietary anti-fog coating creates clarity and eye protection in all conditions.
I recently tested the Cyrius goggles on a cloudy November day on Vail Mountain. Out of the bag, the goggles are practically clear, but the moment they are exposed to sunlight they darken as needed. When the sun did brighten up in the afternoon, the lenses adjusted impressively, turning a majestic dark blue color that got me through the day without having to switch out lenses.
The wide and fully integrated strap on the goggles is helmet-compatible and ideal with the Hal helmet. Comfort and a modern, two-color finish design make this stand out among ski helmets, providing just as much style as it does protective technology. From resort use to backcountry days, it’s a lightweight, stylish and high-performance helmet that ensures safety first.
I wore the Hal the same day I tested the Cyrius goggles, and they do fit together seamlessly without any awkward bunching or skin-exposing gaps. I love how lightweight the helmet is, and I adjusted the helmet to fit just right so that my head felt warm and safe. Once that sun appeared and it warmed up a bit, I was easily able to adjust the ventilation on the helmet to create more airflow. $220 (google), $100 (helmet). Buy now.
