Looking for a nice gift for that special female who is always outside getting after it? Or maybe you just don’t know what to get the lady who has everything. Here’s a few pieces of gear that won’t disappoint picked by one of our own amazing female gear testers.
Trekz Air Headphones
I am hooked on the Trekz Air wireless bone conduction headphones. I have always struggled finding headphones that fit and more importantly STAY in my ears during my sweaty workouts. I’ve attributed this issue to the fact I had so many ear surgeries as a child that changed the shape of my left ear. Regardless the reason, running 8 miles while fixing your ear piece every 10 steps is exceedingly annoying. From a comfort standpoint these are outstanding and truly one size does fit all!
I’ve got two safety points to highlight:
- They are much better and safer from a hearing perspective so my future ears are already thanking me.
- I am able to hear traffic and cars around me while running. Which makes me feel like a more confident responsible runner.
All in all — I love them. They usually last about five workouts before needing recharging. They are super lightweight and not an eye sore. Hidden yet effective, and I cannot recommend them enough!
Magic Bullet
My Magic Bullet does not disappoint and in fact, it exceeds my expectations. I am admittedly a bit of a “smoothie snob.” I love doctoring my power meal concoctions with all sorts of “nutty” complicated combinations. Oftentimes including nutritional powerhouses like walnuts and macadamia nuts to make these drinks more filling and delicious. There is nothing this efficiently sized & sensible appliance can’t handle. It takes up 1/2 the counter space of my bulky Vita-mix and performs just as well. And bonus, the Bullet is much easier to clean because the piece used to blend ingredients doubles as your cup. So efficient. So easy. It takes the intimidation factor out of the whole smoothie process making it more accessible and easier for all. I am even able to pack it on my frequent trips out of town so I don’t have to compromise my healthy eating habits while traveling.
Azura XT Hooded Jacket
I put This jacket through the northeastern elements this past holiday season. From blustery beach walks to torrential downpours occurring midway thru a hike — nothing compromised its performance. Every other part of me was soaked but my Stio jacket repelled water and kept my core dry and warm allowing me to finish my hike. The placement of the pockets inside and outside are ideal without leaving me feeling bulky at all. It fits perfectly in my suitcase taking up practically zero room but providing the warmth potential of a jacket twice its size.
The hood has a bungee pull that keeps it in place during activities. It wasn’t annoying or too loose and protected my ears and head without completely limiting my peripheral vision which is a feat in itself. The fit and performance, from both a technical perspective as well as a practical perspective has made me fall in love with this versatile piece. Oh, and did I mention that I loved the colorful zipper against the deep navy blue.
Out of Range Kit
The Out of Range Kit from Lululemon is an ideal product for this list. It’s a toiletry bag but super simple and practical. I really appreciate the open interior, with just two pockets that split the kit in half. No extra zippers or annoying compartments that just end up occupying extra space, and hold almost nothing. A great gift idea for anyone who travels, commutes, showers at the gym or is on the go.
