Rossignol Savory 7 Women’s Ski – 2014/2015 Review
September 14, 2014The Good
- Fun
- Easy to ski
- Surfy
- Likes trees and chutes
The Bad
- Skis a little short
- Not the biggest sweet spot
The Savory 7 is a really fun ski that loves big mountain and all-mountain conditions. Easy to initiate, and able to perform in all off-piste terrain, it will reward lift-served and AT skiers.
Sometimes you find a ski that just makes you feel better about being on the mountain. The easy-to-initiate, fun to arc, incredibly playful Savory 7 is just that kind of ski. It floats the powder, is quick in the chutes and trees, and can confidently transition from mixed snow to soft bumps without breaking rhythm.
Because of the rocker, the Savory 7 can feel a bit short, especially for more aggressive skiers. You may want to consider buying a longer model than you traditionally ski, or getting out for a demo before you put your credit card down. Overall, this a fine ski for Western lift-served skiers, or as an AT ski for backountry skiers who expect mixed conditions. You’ll want to go a little wider for really deep conditions.
