THE VERDICT

Dynastar's Course Speed is a fun, smooth skiing frontside offering that is always in carve mode. If you like that razor-sharp feel of arcing your edges all day, this could be a great ski for you.

FULL REVIEW

With “Excellent” ratings across the board, Dynastar’s Course Speed was one of the top scoring offerings in the Frontside test, as all of our testers remarked on how well it carved, and how balanced it felt on edge in short and medium radius turns. Stiff, with a deep sidecut (at 71mm, it features one of the narrowest waist widths in the test, and probably on any mountain), it offers confident stability and grip, as well as a wonderful swingweight that makes it move easily from turn to turn.

That narrow waist width also means there’s little margin for error if you aren’t on edge, or if you don’t stay centered on every turn. All told, this is one of the best pure carving skis we’ve tested in awhile.
