COMFORT/FIT  
The Deuter Giga Bike provides excellent overall comfort even while carrying heavier loads, including a laptop and a change of clothes. 

Anatomically-formed shoulder straps provide a wide-enough range to accommodate a variety of shoulder widths. Our tester found that even though the shoulder straps rested close to her neck, they did not actually come into contact with her neck. 

The Airstripes back panel is comprised of two thick contoured strips. This allows for substantial breathability because it only comes into minimal contact with the cyclist’s back. However because our tester lives in in Minneapolis and tested this pack in December, she was unable to experience true back sweat. 

A comfortable mesh hip belt helps to redistribute heavier loads. 

STABILITY
The Deuter Giga Bike is a highly-stable pack when riding a commuter bike and carrying a laptop. Compression straps, an adjustable sternum strap and a comfortable mesh hip belt all work well together to help distribute load.  

STORAGE
The Deuter Giga Bike provides twenty-eight liters of cargo capacity. Inside the pack is one large main compartment, a secondary external compartment and a separate external zippered padded laptop compartment that holds up to a seventeen-inch laptop.

The secondary compartment’s organizer pocket is outstanding. It offers a secured zippered valuables pocket, two pen holders, a small Velcro envelope sleeve and an unsecured small mesh pocket. 

A small secured zippered pocket on the pack’s exterior holds items that require quick access and two stretch side pockets hold items like a water bottle and a bike lock. 

DURABILITY
Made of an abrasion-resistant 600-denier Nylon fabric with tightly woven threads, the Deuter Giga Bike is a tough and well-constructed pack. A PU coating makes it water-resistant. The compression buckles are an industrial-grade plastic. Mounting straps and webbing loops are all heavy-duty and strong. 

EXTRAS
The Deuter Giga Bike offers a mesh helmet holder that packs into its own pocket at the bottom of the pack and works very well with most helmets. Reflective attributes includes detailing on front panel, a blinkie light attachment and an integrated high-visibility rain cover that is stashed in a pocket at the bottom of the pack.

An external valuables pocket with vertical zipper for keys and a stretch mesh side pocket holds a water bottle. Side compression straps help keep the pack stable on the cyclist’s back when not fully loaded and nicely-padded top-haul handle ensures that carrying loads by hand does not digs into the cyclist’s hand.

At the pack’s base is a pocket to stash the rain cover and another pocket to stash a helmet holder. This can be fixed on the front of the pack.
