Armada Invictus Men’s Skis – 2014/2015 Review
November 20, 2014The Good
- Surfablility
- Playfulness
- Versatile in soft snow
The Bad
- Not for hard chargers
- Overpowered in hard snow conditions
Not to call out any of our testers here, but Armada's Invictus is definitely a younger skier's ski. Surfable, playful, and especially versatile in soft snow, heavy-footed skiers felt it lacked performance when it was pushed too hard.
The Armada Invictus earned mixed reviews among our mixed range of testers. While some skiers found it fun, playful, and versatile in soft snow conditions, others felt it lacked the hard-edging ‘oomph’ to make for a reliable big mountain ski.
If you like to butter, ski the fall-line, and hunt out soft snow, this could be a good choice for you. If you want to charge long arcs from the top of the bowl, through the bumps, and down the hardpack to the chair, you will want a more versatile ski.
