THE VERDICT

Nordica's GT 84 TI EVO is a racer's idea of an all mountain ski, built for confident, powerful turns for technical skiers who know how to drive from the center of the ski. Not for the faint of heart, it does not perform as well off-piste or at slower speeds.

FULL REVIEW

Billed as the widest and most powerful ski in Nordica’s GT series, the 84 TI EVO skis like a muscled up race car with a bigger chassis. It excels at top speeds, with great edge hold and stability, and prefers to plow through any off-piste obstacles, rather than floating through over them. The dual metal torsion bridge makes it easy to access this ski’s power, especially when you’re maching down the frontside on a boilerplate day.

Slow down a little bit and this ski is increasingly hard to manage. It feels sluggish in short turns, unfocused when it’s not on edge, and can feel a little heavy at the end of the day. This is really a racer’s idea of an all mountain ski, with power and edge hold to spare.
