Lululemon All Sports Bra Review
March 12, 2013The Good
- Incredibly comfortable, non-chaffing fabric and construction
- Stylish enough for wearing on its own
- Great mobility for yoga or dance
- Low support for anyone larger than an A cup
The Bad
- No adjustability options
The name “All Sports Bra” might be somewhat misleading for women with a bust larger than an A cup. This luxuriously comfortable bra is best for high mobility, low impact activities like yoga or weightlifting.
Comfort
This was one of my favorite bras in the test as far as comfort. In fact it was so comfortable and adorable, it’s become a staple in my weekend wardrobe. The flat-lock seams and silky smooth fabric effectively eliminate chaffing.
Fit/Mobility
The mobility of this bra was off the charts. High mobility/low impact activities like yoga, dance, or weightlifting are a great match. There are no options for adjustability, however, and sizing is standard (size 4-12).
Functionality
There’s no bells or whistles here—just a standard, over-the-head, tug-it-on bra. The stretchy fabric makes it easier to get on and off than other compression-style bras in the lineup.
Support
High impact activities like trail running (or any running, really) are out for the All Sports Bra for women with B cups or larger. I tried to do 30 minutes of jumping jacks in this bra and needed to stop due to excessive bounce (I’m a 34B).
Breathability
Although there is no mesh or highly breathable fabrics here, the sweaty back area has minimal coverage, preventing unnecessary moisture buildup.
Value
I thought the $52 pricetag was a bit steep for a medium support-level bra, but it’s so darn comfy and cute I’d probably dish out the money for it anyway.
