Blizzard Bonafide (2013/2014) Review
August 30, 2013The Good
- Stability
- Versatility
- Carving
The Bad
- Off-piste
With high marks for carving and stability in particular, the Bonafide is on fire anywhere the snow is hard, whether it's freshly buffed or windblown steeps.
Blizzard’s Bonafide tied with Atomic’s Theory for third place in the all-mountain category of our ski test. But while the Atomic was a little more lively underfoot, the Bonafide is a flat out groom killer that loves to go fast and leave precise arcs. With high marks for carving and stability in particular, this ski is on fire anywhere the snow is hard, whether it’s freshly buffed or windblown steeps.
Off-piste, especially where you might want some float, it tends to get kicked around. It’s also one of the more demanding skis to ski in this portion of the test. But if you’ve got some skill, and like to leap off each chair like they just dropped the flag at the racetrack, the Bonafide is made to help you rip it. For hard carvers everywhere. Just remember to bring your helmet.
