Atomic Ritual (2013/2014) ReviewAugust 31, 2013
- Easy to steer
- Feels agile in all conditions
- Very damp
- Slower edge to edge
Great ski for a variety of conditions, with superior stability and strong performance especially on hard and soft snow.
A big mountain ski for advanced to expert skiers who prefer to ski at higher rates of speed in primarily off-piste conditions.
Easily one of the top three skis in the big mountain portion of our ski test, the Atomic Ritual is stable, responsive, easy to steer and agile in all conditions. One tester called it “an off-piste killer,” while another (taking perhaps a little too much liberty) said he could “see all abilities loving it.”
It is definitely for advanced all-mountain skiers, with a hard and soft snow performance that rewards energy and expertise. It blows through crud, has excellent edgehold at high speed, and dances through powder with a surprising ease for this big a ski. Wonderfully balanced, with a nice even flex that encourages deep turn loading, the only drawback is that it does dive a bit in deeper snow. Western skiers could easily make this a go-to ski for soft and deep days-here’s hoping we get plenty of both this year!
