An ash-filled and burned out campfire is often the only trace of human activity in many remote campsites. I’ve been to many primitive campsites where the earth is charred, the unsightly scars incapable of self-repair. Wolf and Grizzly set out to address this issue amongst overlanders, raft-packers, and bike-packers with their release today of the Cook System, an all in one solution that saves the ground from scorching and damage.
The Cook System combines Wolf and Grizzly’s proven Fire Safe folding fire pit, collapsible and height-adjustable Grill, with their new, nesting, and specifically shaped Cook Set. The Cook Set includes a 2L pot, cutting board, griddle, Hibachi, and lid, all rectangular shaped to nestle together and fit into the grill’s frame. The kit also comes with a matching pot gripper. All metal components are 304 stainless steel, while the cutting board is sustainably harvested bamboo.
The Fire Safe collapses to 0.9″ x 4.1″ x 11.4″ and slides into an included case that can also hold tinder, kindling, and a fire starter. The Grill, which supports up to 30 pounds, folds to 1.5″ x 1.5″ x 15.7″ and slips into its case. The Cook Set nestles inside of the 12.6″ x 5.5″ x 2.6″ pot.
The Cook System protects the ground while harboring an efficient fire. Enjoy the ambiance and flavors of cooking over real wood while minimizing impacts on the environment we all love with this compact and robust system. The Wolf And Grizzly Cook System is available now on Kickstarter, with pledges starting at $179, an $89 savings over MSRP.
