Video: MSR Guardian Water Purifier

At Outdoor Retailer a few weeks back MSR took the wraps off an impressive new water purification system called the Guardian that is capable of removing bacteria, viruses, and protozoa from as much as 2.5 liters of water per minute. That’s fast. So fast in fact that we awarded the Guardian a Gear Institute Best New Gear Award. The purifier sells for $350, which is pricey. But its self-cleaning mechanism allows it to work its magic on more than 10,000 liters of water, which is substantially more than the competition.
