When it was first founded back in 2010, outdoor apparel company United By Blue made a promise to its customers. For every product sold it would remove one pound of trash from oceans and rivers through clean-up events that the company hosted and organized. Since then there have been 135 such events, removing more than 246,800 pounds of trash from waterways in 22 different states. That’s an impressive environmental record to say the least.
In this video, we get a look at the new Kato Vest that the company is preparing to release in the spring. In keeping with UBB’s environmental mission it features organic cotton fabrics and an insulation made from recycled materials. It just so happens to look good too.
