This Camping Chair Stores Itself in its Own Legs

Looking for a comfortable chair to take with you on your next camping trip, visit to the park, or outdoor concert? Than checkout the new Treo Chair from Therm-a-Rest which promises to not only provide portable comfort, but also pack down to a size that also makes it highly portable as well.

Comfortable camp chairs aren’t anything new of course, but what sets the Treo apart from the competition is the innovative way that it packs itself into its tripod base. This serves as a protective case for the nylon seat and aluminum frame when not in use, and makes the chair exceedingly easy to carry. The entire process takes just moments to set-up or take down, providing quick and easy portable seating just about anywhere you go. In fact, Therm-a-Rest says that the chair’s non-skid feet will keep it stable on grass, sand, dirt, and rock surfaces.

When fully assembled, the Treo sits 13 inches off the ground, and is capable of supporting up 250 pounds of weight. When taken apart, and stored in its base, it tips the scale at just two pounds, and is about 11 inches in length. At that size, it is incredibly easy to throw a few of these into the trunk of your car for use whenever and wherever they are needed.

This cool-looking chair is avaialble now, but it does come with one caveat. The Treo sells for $100, which makes it a pricey option indeed.
