Sunday, April 3rd, will mark 10 years since legendary skier Doug Coombs died in a ski accident in La Grave, France. An article in today’s New York Times offers a quick glimpse into the impact Coombs had on big mountain skiing, and also previews Tracking the Wild Coomba, an upcoming biography of the man. This slightly grainy video captures the essence of Coombs off the snow; funny, friendly, and absolutely full of life. It’s also a pretty good ski tune to try in your garage or on the road.
