Designed to transition seamlessly between land and water, the new Splash 25 backpack from Klymit promises to be a good choice for paddlers and day hikers alike. The 25-liter bag incorporates waterproof fabrics, as well as a fold and roll enclosure, to help keep its contents safe from the elements. It also uses Klymit’s signature Air Frame technology – traditionally used to make the pack more comfortable to wear while hiking – to add a level of protection that goes well beyond what you would normally expect. Reportedly the Air Frame adds a measure of buoyancy to the Splash 25, allowing it to float when dropped in the water.
That should make retrieving lost gear a bit easier.
