The Good

cushioning light weight

The Bad

not super responsive felt clunky

Altra Paradigm 6 is a stability trainer that has a zero-drop and a wide toe box for runners with a not super unique ride. The shoe offers maximum cushioning and you definitely feel that in the midsole of the shoe. It doesn’t add a ton of weight to it making the shoe a pretty lightweight option to take out on runs. My first impression very much connected this shoe to a Hoka option in the way they looked. I would recommend this shoe for easier runs and longer runs for those who are looking for a max-cushioned stability trainer. It will support your foot strike nicely and give plenty of cushion throughout the entirety of the run. That said, I personally didn’t feel like there was a ton of energy return in the shoe when I had it on. It was hard to pick up the pace and feel like the shoe was supporting any sort of tempo effort. The shoe fit true to size and I didn’t have any issues with heel slip. Despite the wide toe box it felt a little tight because the upper was pretty low.
