REI’s evrgrn Line of Urban Gear Expands in Time for Holidays

With the holiday shopping season now just a few weeks away, REI has announced a few new additions to its popular line of urban gear known as evrgrn. These new products join an existing line-up that already includes such items as a wearable sleeping bag, a casual hammock, and a portable picnic table

First introduced back in the spring of 2015, evrgrn features a very different set of products for a company that has historically been focused on more traditional outdoor pursuits like hiking, camping, and climbing. But this line of gear is designed to attract an audience that wants to spend time outdoors, just in a more casual way. Those customers haven’t always thought about visiting REI to find the items that fit their needs, but the hope is that evrgrn can change that.

The new additions to the product line include the evrgrn Rollback Pack – a 25L daypack with a rolltop design that includes a magnetic enclosure and a laptop compartment that is accessed through a side zip. It sells for $79.

The smaller evrgrn Kickback Pack is a modern day interpretation of REI’s classic Heritage pack. It features 18L of space and multiple organizational compartments, including a laptop sleeve, a fleece-lined pocket on the top, and a hidden stash pocket large enough to hold a flask. It retails for $59.

Speaking of flasks, the third product being added to the line-up is just that. The new evrgrn Last Call Flask is an 8 fl. oz. stainless steel container that can keep your favorite drink warm or cold as needed. Its airtight lid comes with a TPU strap that helps hold it firmly in place, ensuring that the Last Call can be tossed into a pack without worry of it spilling. It’ll make quite a stocking stuffer at $25.
