I can’t begin to tell you how many hours I have spent hand-stitching webbing, accessory cord, and bungee cord into different shapes and forms in order to create functional trail trinkets to hang my pack, use as clothesline, or suspend a tarp while building a shelter. So it was with a sigh of relief that I stumbled upon LoopRope recently while surfing the Interwebs, and in the process discovered a product I’ve been searching for for a long time.
LoopRope is a cure-all for the camping world and beyond. In its physical form, Loop Rope is constructed from 1/4″ heavy-duty shock cord and features a series of reinforced loops crimped into place along its length. Those loops can be used to lash things down or suspend things off the ground, without fear of knots or tangles.
Ranging in price from $30-$50, the LoopRope is available in 3’, 4’, and 5’ lengths and can either be purchased in a combo pack – which features one of each length, – or in a 3’ or 5’ two-pack. Each LoopRope comes with two military grade stainless steel S-Biner style clips for easy anchoring as well.
For my money, the best value is the 5’ two-pack, which will set you back $38. That seems like a fair price to pay for a product that has so many uses, and boasts both quality and convenience.
