Admit it. When you’ve gone tent shopping shopping in the past, you’ve often found yourself wanting to purchase the miniature display tents to take home with you. It’s okay. We’ve all been there. Now, you can show your love of the camping life in the office, or better yet give your furry friend its own tent on your next camping trip with a Tiny Tent.
Tiny founder and former GoPro Senior Designer Chris Clearman’s lifelong fascination with miniature tents is manifested in the launch of a new Kickstarter campaign. Available in two sizes (small and large) and two colors (“Blue Sky” and “Light Forest”), the miniature replica tents can be used for indoor and outdoor camping excursions, desk displays, or model enthusiasts.
Tiny Tents are built just like real tents, only smaller. Materials include scale fiberglass poles and aluminum hardware at all corners, and water resistant nylon fabric with flame retardant coating.
Additional features include:
- Removable rainfly
- Functional doors and windows
- Functional tent pitches
- Functional zippers
The “small” Tiny Tent is approximately 19x19x12 inches (48x48x30 cm). It can house pets under 12 pounds, or be used as a display on your shelf at work. The “large” Tiny Tent is approximately 29x29x19 inches (74x74x48 cm) and can fit dogs up to 50 pounds. All versions arrive with a miniature carring bag to help complete the Tiny experience. Kickstarter contributions begin at $12 for a small Tiny™ tent in forest green. Backers have until August 10 to support the project.
