Sorel Tivoli High II Premium Leather Boot Review
May 16, 2016The Good
- Comfortable
- Waterproof and warm
- Premium leather; stylish
The Bad
- Extremely hard to get on/off
- Little arch support
Overall, the Sorel Tivoli High II boots with Premium Leather are stylish, comfortable, and very warm for everyday wear in the winter. The boots are similar in style to the Keens, but appear higher quality with a softer leather and suede upper. Compared to other boots tested, these did not have any break-in period or excessive markings on the leather after initial wear, but they are extremely difficult to get on and off.
Style
With a premium grade leather and suede upper, along with the faux-fur collar and rose gold hardware, these boots rank highest when it comes to style. Though they are snow boots with a thick sole, they can easily be dressed up with a dress or down with jeans.
Comfort
Although comfortable once on, getting these boots over the heel and arch is extremely difficult with any sort of thicker sock on. The boots were able to lace up tight around the foot, ankle, and upper shaft.
Traction
On icy, snowy sidewalks, the Sorel boots faired well with a molded rubber outsole with large lugs. Compared to other boots tested, these boots had great traction.
Warmth
With 100 grams of insulation, the boots kept feet warm and dry on cold days both while moving and standing still.
Quality/Durability
The Sorel boots had no markings on the suede or leather parts of the boot. Construction and seams appear long-lasting and durable.
