THE VERDICT

Salomon's Rocker 2 is a West Coast lift-served ski, at its best ripping soft snow fall-lines and making quick turns.

FULL REVIEW

Salomon’s Rocker 2 was a breath of fresh air in our powder test, providing a short to medium swing loving ski that is easy schmear, has superior float, and can absolutely eat up the trees. At its best crushing West Coast lift-served up to two days after a storm, it excels in fall-lines and soft snow.

Long range turns and hard edging–especially on hardpack–are not the Rocker 2’s strong suit. Best for advanced to expert skiers who prefer slalom-style skiing, and for skiers who have another pair of boards for the hardpack.
