Salomon Enduro XT 800 (2013/2014) ReviewSeptember 5, 2013
- Fun ripper
- Exciting ski
- Returns all the energy you put in to each turn
- Felt a little softer than others in this category
The Enduro XT800 was rated either the favorite or "excellent" by every one who tested it.
A ski for lift-served skiers who prefer groomed and hardpacked to packed powder conditions.
Salomon’s Enduro XT800 was easily one of the best skis we tested in this category, with a fun factor that came close to blowing everything else off the slope. Versatile and exciting, it has its own built-in energy factor that cranks up even higher with each turn you make. Especially easy to carve in any frontside conditions, it was rated either the favorite or “excellent” by every one who tested it. The pleasure of turn initiation and edgehold alone should make it a top pick for a variety of lift-served skiers from coast to coast.
The Enduro did drop a little back in the pack for stability, especially against all the nearly race ready boards we reviewed, but there really isn’t much it can’t do. A great ski for enjoying yourself.
