Rossignol Soul 7 Men’s Skis – 2014/2015 Review
November 20, 2014The Good
- Incredibly balanced
- Versatile and fun to ski in all conditions
- Super easy turn initiation
The Bad
- More finesse than power
- Doesn't feel as fun at high speeds
Rossignol's Soul 7 is lots of fun, easy to ski, with an all-welcoming attitude that rewards lots of different styles of skiing. It also feels a little more like an all-mountain than a big mountain. It will perform better ripping lift-served than as go-to charge the powder/crud ski.
Rossignol’s Soul 7 is one of our favorite skis to test. As a tester, you’re all but guaranteed performance, response, and versatility in any terrain when you see it come up in the ‘next ski’ queue. This year didn’t disappoint, as the Soul 7 aced it for playfulness and maneuverability, whether it be in powder, cut up trees, or hard snow.
The ski does feel more like an all-mountain than a big mountain ski, meaning it doesn’t charge big lines at high speeds if that’s what you want to do. Honestly, a lot of skiers don’t, and will find the Soul 7’s forgiveness and liveliness suit their skiing remarkably well.
