Line Magnum Opus Men’s Skis – 2014/2015 Review
September 29, 2014The Good
- Round turns
- Easy to initiate
- Fun to ski
The Bad
- Can be overpowered
- Not for hard snow
- Prefers slarving to carving
Line's Magnum Opus is a fun powder and soft snow ski that is easy to intiate. It performs well on steeps and in short turns and is overpowered when driven hard or when it's edging on groomers. It will reward off-piste preferring skiers who like a soft ski.
Our testers found Line’s Magnum Opus to be fun, easy to initiate, quick in the fall-line, with a buttery feel. It handled everything but groomers well, as long as it was making short turns, although it did seem a little flat when trying to surf deeper snow.
This is a ski that will reward skiers who want to ski off-piste, hit the park, and basically surf the mountain. It is not for technical skiers who want to carve long arcs or who put a premium on edgehold.
