Head Great Joy Women’s Skis – 2014/2015 Review
September 14, 2014The Good
- Precision
- Stability
- Very crisp edge to edge
- Confidence-inducing ski
The Bad
- The better you are, the better the rewards
- Not as intermediate friendly
Head's Great Joy is a phenomenal big mountain ski that rewards good skiers. For women planning on a big season, this very capable ski will get better with you.
Head’s super fun, super versatile, hard charging Great Joy nearly won the Big Mountain category. The only reason it didn’t? You still have to put in a little work on your own.
Capable and confident in all conditions, the Great Joy still offers much deeper rewards to skiers who really do have their technical abilities dialed. That means if you know how to start a turn early, set an edge, and establish counter-rotation down every line, then you can expect a high five from this ski at every chair. If not, there’s not as much value for you.
Bottomline: this is a skier’s ski, made for women who want the perfect tool for the work they already know they want to do.
