Fischer The Curv Review
September 22, 2016The Good
- Super damp
- Speed hungry
- Loves long arcs
- Fantastic edge bite
- Very solid underfoot
The Bad
- Not versatile
- Doesn't do slow turns
- Or short
- Requires your full attention
- Prefers to fly down every slope
Fischer's Curv offers one hell of an exciting ride, with speed, stability, and edge hold to spare, from the top to the bottom of every lift. It is not for intermediates, or the faint of heart. But if you want to rock and roll the groomers, this ski provides the heavy metal beat.
Every tester who skied Fischer’s ‘The Curv’ hit the bottom of the hill with a big smile on their face, and a little drool on their cheeks. A frontside ski designed by some of Europe’s most legendary alpine ski racers, it’s for people who can and do live to go very fast down every slope. The fact that this ski makes doing just that seem like second nature is a testament to how well the Fischer team can make fast work.
If that scares you, check out K2’s Super Charger, or Scott’s Black Majick. Otherwise, get ready to ignore the speed limit.
