Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Ti (2013/2014) Review
September 5, 2013The Good
- Easily handles a multitude of speeds
- And a variety of turn shapes
- Quick & responsive
The Bad
- Felt heavy
- Don't get off the groomed
Blizzard's Magnum 8.0 Ti is a groomed and hardpack snow eating machine. It handles a multitude of speeds and turn shapes with a quick and responsive feel underfoot.
Bottom line: when it comes to absolutely crushing groomed terrain, Blizzard’s Magnum 8.0 Ti flat out killed it. If this ski has a speed limit, we didn’t find it. Quick, responsive, and ready to handle pretty much any kind of turn shape or rate of descent you want to throw at it, this ski has an ability to deliver more the harder you push it. It is versatile, fun and fast.
The caveat is that taking it off the groomed feels a little like trying to drive a Lamborghini up an access road, so don’t do that. Keep carving this ski for maximum enjoyment, and please let us know if you ever find a limit to its definition of FAST (without getting a ticket, that is). Expert hardpack skiers will love this!
