Atomic Theory (2013/2014) Review
August 30, 2013The Good
- Exciting ski with lots of energy
- Mid-sized turns
- Stability
- Confidence (ego) builder
The Bad
- It's not damp
- Easy to over edge
The Theory is a great ski for a wide range of lift-served skiers. It is easy to turn, has a lot of energy, and will definitely fulfill a lot of skiers' needs.
Atomic’s Theory is one fun, exciting ski. It has a lot of energy burning underfoot, makes excellent gs style turns in all conditions, and has great edgehold. It skied everything well, with an ego-building playfulness about it that makes you want to charge the off-piste and make super fast edge-to-edge changeovers under the lift.
It’s not a damp ski by any means, so if like vacuum like grip on the groomed, keep looking. It’s also a lot more fun-and versatile-getting in and out of turns than it is overweighting a long, hard arc. The Theory definitely understands the desires of most all-mountain skiers who want to hit the whole mountain no matter what the conditions, come sun, fresh snow or warm slush. A good quiver of one for lift-served skiers on any coast.
