Armada Triumph (2013/2014) Review
September 4, 2013The Good
- Versatility
- Turn initiation
- Playful
The Bad
- Liveliness
- Not as confident as other skis in this class
The Armada Triumph is a good fit for any lift-served skier who wants an all-around ski for typical in-bounds conditions, but not so much for the trench-digging carvers who like to speed down hardpack hot laps.
The Armada Triumph is a fun ski for frontside rippers who like to tear up the groomed runs on their way to hit the moguls or the park. Our testers particularly liked its versatility, ease of turn initiation and playful feel that made it a blast to ski on a sunny winter day when conditions were perfect.
The consensus was that it can be easily over-powered by heavier (i.e., older) skiers who like to drive a strong edge and a long arc. It did not stand out in any single category, either bad or good. A good fit for any lift-served skier who wants an all-around ski for typical in-bounds conditions, but not so much for the trench-digging carvers who like to speed down hardpack hot laps.
