Adidas Techfit Bra Review
March 12, 2013The Good
- Comfortable fit
- Mesh back for breathability
- Full coverage
- “Uniboob” look under clothing
The Bad
- S/M/L sizing can be hit-or-miss for some
- Medium impact only for larger bust sizes
The Techfit Bra is your average, everyday sports bra that you wore for high school soccer practice. There are no fancy bells and whistles here, but for smaller bust sizes this is a great value at only $25.
Comfort
Both my fellow tester and I thought this bra was very comfortable. The stretchy polyester/elastane fabric didn’t chafe or rub, even on long runs. Another plus: although this is a racerback style, the straps didn’t dig into my neck.
Fit/Mobility
One tester wore the TechFit Bra x-country skiing, running, and to yoga, and reported favorably in this category. I thought this bra moved well with the body, even for dynamic activities like yoga. The downside to fit is that the bra only comes in S/M/L sizing (pretty typical for a sports bra) so there is no customization.
Functionality
This style is customary for sports bras: over-the-head racer back. No bells or whistles, and no adjustability.
Support
The Techfit has average support. Although this bra (or any other for that matter) would be fine for A/B cups, our C cup tester reported that the Techfit provided her only minimal support. As a B cup myself, I found the compression style fine for road running and mellow trails.
Breathability
This is a full-coverage bra (read: lots of material) so the mesh back was a welcome detail when it got steamy.
Value
At a mere $25, this bra is certainly a great value for B cups, but C cups may have better results putting their money elsewhere.
