3 Kickstarter / Indiegogo Campaigns Worth a Look

Kodiak Mini 2200 and Kodiak Plus 10000

Building on the success of the Kodiak 6000, Outdoor Tech is launching the Kodiak Mini 2200 and the Plus 10000. These bomb-proof battery packs are fully waterproof (due to a silicone outer shell and cap) and very resistant to trauma due to drops or falls. While I can’t speak to the new versions – the Kodiak 6000’s 2.4A USB output is capable of charging my iPhone 5s three times from nearly dead.

Check out the new versions and maybe score a deal, or even a Buckshot (Outdoor Tech’s versatile bluetooth mini speaker) for backing the indiegogo campaign.

Dirtball 50 Jacket – Made in the USA from 50 Recycled Water Bottles

Dirtball is introducing a new, closed-loop manufacturing system, puffy jacket made exclusively from recycled water bottles- the 50. “Closed-loop” because it can be recycled continuously – beat it down and after years of abuse it can be returned and recycled into the newest version Dirtball (and nab you a nice discount on your future purchase). Check out their Kickstarter Campaign for the full details.

OFFPISTE UltraPack 7+3

This triangular pack is the first I’ve seen of it’s kind. Designed to both hold all the gear you need, through it’s sport specific modular system, and allow for full freedom of movement while climbing, biking, running, surfing. Additionally, OFFPISTE claims superior access to gear without the need to awkwardly rotate or completely remove the pack from your torso. Various systems are available on their Kickstarter Campaign page.
